HEY KIDS! Come down to the SLO Criterium Festival and ride the race course! Entry is free for all kids age 9 and under, and everyone that enters will receive an award.

These non-competitive events are intended to let children of all ages get a taste of the thrills of bicycle racing by riding down the race course and through the finish line to the cheers of the crowd!

Starting just after noon, right after the Lance Armstrong Junior Olympic Race Series race for 10-12/13-14 yr. olds, the younger kids' rides will be held on the finishing straightaway, with the older kids completing a full race circuit of 1/2 mile.

Helmets are required for all riders, and parents must be present to sign an entry waiver. Kids' ride participants age 10 and over pay a $5 entry fee for insurance.

Aspiring racers 10 and over seeking a bigger challenge are encouraged to enter their respective LAJORS races (see main race schedule); entry fee and one-day USCF racing license required ($20 total).
